For me the heavy hitter was Greek Yogurt. 0% plain Chobani or Fage has 18 grams of protein in 6 oz. and 100 calories. I sweetened it with a packet of Stevia, Equal, whatever no-cal I had on hand and flavored it with SF Torani. I also always included a Premier shake because they're 30 grams of protein for 160 cals, so a great ratio. An example day:
B: Premier chocolate shake (160 c./30 p.)
S: 0% Fage w/ SF raspberry Torani and Equal, 2 diced fresh strawberries (125 c./ 18 p.)
L: Starkist Tuna Creations packet in the sweet and spicy flavor (90 c./ 16 p.)
S: Starbucks tall skinny peppermint mocha (100 c./ 10 p.)
D: 2 oz. grilled chicken breast, steamed broccoli (75 c./ 12 p.)
S: 2% Cottage cheese w/ SF vanilla Torani, Equal and cinnamon (100 c./ 12 p.)
This is 650 calories and 98 grams of protein, pulled from a day around month 5. I've always tried to eat fairly balanced so note this also includes some vegetables, berries and dairy in addition to the straight protein.
In maintenance I don't eat all that differently from this, but I tend to drink coffee protein shakes now which have a little less protein and I eat closer to 3 oz. of meat at a sitting. I still eat 6x daily.
Sorry for my ignorance. What is Torani? I am only nine days out and appreciate and cherish every drop of help you can give me.
I am using the Premier drinks and am able to get a good deal of my protein there. I'm not quite ready for the solids, but I SURE appreciate your sample day and willingness to help.
BLESSINGS.....Susie

Torani is a flavoring syrup, available at most supermarkets. I buy it at my local Wal-Mart and they keep it in the coffee aisle there. There are lots of sugar-free versions in a ton of different flavors (calorie-free). Basically you can add it to any unflavored item, or even mix it in with vanilla protein shakes, etc. and it adds the corresponding flavor without the extra calories. I frequently use raspberry, vanilla and caramel in my yogurt, cottage cheese and shakes.

Yup, DaVinci is the same thing, just a different brand.
