It's official: I'm miserable

I went to the hospital yesterday due to a severe migraine. (My botox wore off, but I have to wait until the 2nd for another dose.) Combined with the nausea that I've been having, this is getting ridiculous. I can't even get my shakes down without needing some Zofran. Ugh is it Monday, yet??

End Rant

So sorry your feeling so badly. I suffer from migrane's as well. Not anywhere near that bad since I got on topomax and its gotten even better since surgery. A cold back on the back of the neck and head helps me. I also have a neck traction (most people dont LOL) but it pulls your neck away from your body. Like if your neck was crammed down, it feels really good and helps relieve pressure, those are my go-to's.

Good luck, feel better soon!

Migranes are terrible. My husband & sister get really bad migraines, not that often but when they do they are bad & I always feel horrible for them. That's rough. I hope you feel better soon. Relax & take it easy. Does the light bother your eyes really bad? Sit somewhere dark & just take it easy. No stress, if that's even possible? How many children do you have? Tell them Mommy needs to rest for a bit, us Moms work hard, it's okay to get some you time. I hope you feel better soon.

I managed to get one of the girls to bed on time. The two year old fought with me all night. I have them pretty severe. When I don't have the botox, I wake up with one and go to sleep with one. They've done a ton of tests and they think I have a cyst behind my eyes, but they're not sure if it's the cause of it. I can't take Topomax or Imitrex due to the allergic reactions I have. (Psychosis) So, I have to rough it out a bit.

I also just found out that my little sister was in a bad car accident in TX, so I'm going to be running around trying to find out information. It really feels like a Monday that won't end. lol Thanks for the encouragement guys. I really appreciate it.

I suffered the most horrible and debilitating migraines for years as did both of my parents. I've been on about 6 different meds over the years before finding a combination that has worked for me and I've been almost a year now migraine free. My Dr. changed my migraine med to Frova - for when the migraine hits but he gave me Amitriptyline 20mg to take at bedtime to help prevent them. He also suggested I take Excedrin for migraines (I use the CVS generic) at the very first tingle of a headache and with the Amitriptyline nightly I've only taken one Frova in the past year. We tried the Topomax but I have very odd reactions to meds and the Topomax made me feel like I had little critters crawling under my scalp. Couldn't take it more than 3 days and had to stop. Drove me crazy! lol  Good luck and hope you find something that works for you that you can take when you need it and not have to wait and be miserable the whole time.  {{{HUGS}}}
