Sodium how much is to much?
No problem but sometimes it can cause me to retain fluid. My BP is normally on the low end so that's not an issue! Lately I have been eating a lot of turkey breast deli meat & I see the sodium is a about 350-400 gr. I just wondered if this is to much per meal. It doesn't seem to be causing me to retaining fluid.
I'm not a medical professional and so this is not a medical opinion. You might want to check with your doc. But for me, I go by my body. If my body is telling me there's a problem, I back off. Otherwise I don't sweat it. I've been very lucky not to have health issues that cause me to be more diligent.

Because I had insanely high blood pressure pre surgery my dietitian wanted me to keep my sodium intake down to 1500mg per day, which I thought was evil of her - until I discovered that it was easily accomplished by avoiding packet food and restaurants of all stripes. For a person with normal blood pressure the threshold is generally 2400.
Because we eat so much less than a "normie" I'd expect 1500 is ample. Because I avoid processed foods my sodium intake is generally much lower than that now and I find myself actively adding a bit of salt so I don't get woozy.
