Question for everyone
Hey! I think we "talked" on another board. I see you did get your date of the 15th. Looks like I will be seeing you next week!
To answer your question, I am also looking forward to those things :)
I can't wait to see my collar bones (and maybe even my hip bones someday...I have NEVER seen them and I'd love to verify their existence).
I am looking forward to going to public places and knowing I will fit in the seats comfortably.
I am looking forward to shopping in "normal" size stores.
But I am think most excited to be in less pain and be more active. I want to DO things. Walk all over the place. Ride a bike. Kick ass at the gym. And so on :)
You bet I'll see you. I am getting so pumped !! I sure agree with you and the less pain thing. I want to run 5k that has been a goal for along time. I don't even know if I can run anymore with my knees ( But heres hoping )
Hey, your surgery date is on my DD's birthday so that HAS to be a lucky day! And, I will be using the same surgeon you are, but on August 5th.
Things I am looking forward to:
Sleeping better
Having more energy
Being able to go shopping with my daughter
Being able to do things with future grandchildren
Wearing a bathing suit and going to the beach
Not having to worry about fitting into a booth
Not being winded from walking from the office parking lot to my desk
Taking my dogs for walks
Hi there!
I am looking forward to:
More energy & better health of course!
Crossing my legs
Being able to walk into the front of Kohl's or Penney's and grab something off the rack there instead of walking to the back far corner of the store to the women's section.
Walking without feeling so winded all the time
Just trying new things in general, smiling more and taking photos!
My list is long:
Crossing legs
Fully wrapping myself in a bath towel.
Bending down without having to spread my legs to accommodate belly...lol
Sporting Summer clothes.
shopping
wearing levis......my favorite jeans
wearing my husbands t-shirts as night gowns instead of them fitting me correctly....
Most of all........NOT feeling so self conscious everywhere I go.
Oh so many things....
Fitting into chairs
Not panicking when the airplane seat belt won't quite click in
Squatting
Crossing my legs like a lady
Wearing swimsuits in public and not wanting to fade away
Climbing stepladders
Running
Scuba diving and not having to use an old ship's anchor for dive weight
Walking more than 1/4 without my feet aching
Feeling healthy, normal and attractive
Not deflecting attention away from myself
Shorts
Passing it on to anyone else who'll listen
