I know I'm only 10 days post op, but I lost a lot of weight pre-op too, and I guess I'm just noticing it. So, time for a lil shameless self posting... I was recently looking through all my photos on my laptop and came across this picture of me on a cruise last summer at my highest weight. It made me cry, how did I let myself get so out of control? Is this really how people saw me? I had never seen a straight on photo like that because I avoided cameras like the plague. But I thought surely now there must be a difference. Yesterday I had taken the photo on the right, and I had to compare them. This is has been a life changing journey for sure, not just physical but the mental stuff seems to be the hardest. I had always thought I had a round face, but turns out, there are jaw bones in there and the bottom of my face is a lil square! (who would thought) But this little change has been such an emotional part of the journey for me, because, that round face is was I saw in the mirror everyday, for my WHOLE life... it's time to say hello to a new me =)

Not to mention the cute little chin dimple that is beginning to show - oh, and of course, the happy, smiling face. Well done, keep up the great work!

TOTAL POUNDS LOST- 200 (110 pounds lost before surgery, 90 pounds lost Post Op.diabetes in remission-blood pressure normal-cholesterol and triglyceride levels normal! BMI from 55.6 supermorbidly obese to 23.6 normal!!!!

I noticed that chin dimple too!!! I'm curious how it will look at goal, maybe I should do a photo montage of it =P and thank you for the kind words!

Wow, great job! I think we sometimes want to hear about the 100+ lose success stories, but I think this shows there are successes all the way through our journey. Keep up the great work!

Thank you! I used to scan the forums looking for people posting before and after pics when they hit goal, but sometimes it nice to stop and see the little changes along the way. I'm definitely noticing that for sure.
