Yes! And i've also chopped them coarsely and added to cheesecake/greek yogurt pudding.

I didn't mind the taste at all, BUT about 2 hours after eating 1 my innards decided to turn themselves inside out. I figure I'm well cleaned out from the tonsils down. I won't be buying them again.

I agree that chronic constipation is awful, and you'll probably laugh at me when you read my quandary. Once I figured out that my constipation issue was mostly from the iron I was taking and switched I started having the opposite problem. After weeks of trying different things I finally tracked down the cause. It's the Splenda.
Splenda has always given me diarrhea, to the extent that all of my girlfriends have a ziplock of sugar twin in their cupboards just or me, and I carry it in my purse, and I've read labels for years. Since I was constipated for so long I figured my Splenda issue was gone. Not so much...
How is this a quandary? Have you read the label of every cotton picking protein shake or shake powder? (Other than the ones with stevia, which tastes like old weeds to me) Yup - Splenda. My old friend.
So - now I take Metamucil any day I have a shake or eat a quest bar, since it swings both ways. Now if only I could find a version of psyllium that wasn't kinda gross once added to liquid. Yes, it comes in capsules, but I'd need to take 10 a day. It also comes in the form of a "cookie" but it's sweetened with, you guessed it - Splenda...

Thanks.
I think my end is easier. The diarrhea can be controlled and isn't painful - and life will certainly be easier as I'm able to get more of my protein from food and adjust to drinking my water plain. (You know what sweetener is used in all of the water enhancers and coffee syrups...)
