Because Lee (themexcellentone) asked:

1: Said goodbye to sleep apnea and the dreaded CPAP machine.

2: Bought clothes with my sisters in a regular-sized shop.

3: Stopped avoiding every flight of stairs in sight.

4: Noticed that I can fit into a bus seat beside another person and half my butt is not hanging off the seat!

5: Also no longer dread not getting a seat in rush hour...standing is no issue at all.

6: My feet stopped hurting after being on them for more than 15 minutes.

7: Tying shoes is a breeze!

8: Cutting my toe nails no longer involves the threat of serious back injury!

9: I can scratch more of my back than ever before. Now, that's independance!

10: I now have a lap to rest my purse on when I sit down.

11: Our queen sized bed is much roomier, gonna save us from buying tha king-size we were considering!

12: Getting up and out of the house in the morning in a joy, I have great outfits and lots of energy. No more couch potato!

How's that for starters? LOL

I am SO ready to ditch my CPAP machine...can't wait for that one!!  I'm also excited about the prospect of buying clothes that don't come from Lane Bryant or any of the other shops for plus-sized ladies.

Thanks for the list...I hadn't thought of some of these!

I was really afraid I wouldn't be able to get rid of it. My surgeon said that there was no guarantee. But he also said the odds were good. LOL It was the best thing of all, when I realized it'd happened. :-)

Congrats Cindi!  And outside of #1 (I never had a CPAP machine) I could have written all of those myself!  I especially love #6 b/c I used to have to have my kids wait with the cart in line at the store b/c I couldn't stand that long :(

Aren't our sleeves the best thing ever?? :D

Being able to wait in line or be out for multiple chores in a day is amazing. I always refused to try to fit in more than one thing per day because I couldn't handle all the running around. Now I love it! I'm grateful for my sleeve.

Let me add a couple of more:

1. Not having to do contortions to wipe after going to the bathroom (TMI)
2. Having a sales woman at Macy's tell me - try this suit on, it looks good on petite women like yourself.
3. Being able to sit on the floor and getting up with ease.
4. Most importantly, having my son tell me that I'm an inspiration.
