Stalled and frustrated!

To get right to it, from 5/24/13 which was 4 days pre-op til my 1 week post -op on 6/3/13, a total of 10 days, I lost 19 lbs.  Since I plan to only weigh weekly, when I did weigh 1 week later, I had gained 4.5 lbs. how is this even possible? No, I'm not getting in the 72 grams of protein required per my nutritionist but close to it. I'm getting in my water and eating SF jello, applesauce and lo cal soups. Is this the norm? Why am I stalled? Thanks in advance for and advice and or comments!

Is it that TOM by chance?  You might be retaining water.

If you are on plan, the little ups and down are always water retention. Stalls can happen at any time. It's your body's way of handling the weight loss. You are perfectly normal and yes, it does suck when it's you.

Take a longer term view. In six months, you won't even remember this frustration. Work your plan and the weight will come off. It's guaranteed.

It's normal.  Your body is adjusting after surgery and finding its way, so to speak.  You'll be just fine.  Stay the course and remember that your body is healing.  A stall is your body's way of saying, "Ok...give me a minute to catch up."

Stalls are normal and weight goes up and down every day. I can weigh 3 pounds more at night than the morning. I weigh twice a day but it only counts on Tuesday mornings for me.
If you want to, you can add a protein drink in your day which will get your level up and make sure you take your vits especially your B-12.

I know it is hard but don't get frustrated.  Unfortunately, you may have a lot more times where the scale is not going to move down or it is even going to move up.  Just follow your plan, get all of the protein and water in that you can.  These are very very important.  There are different takes on the carbs so  I am not even going to talk about them.  Log your food, drink your water and eat your protein.  You just had major surgery and your body is still swollen.  Start walking for exercise now and make it a good habit, it will be beneficial for you in the long run.  If you haven't take your measurements so that you have another way to track your success.  Your body is going to go through alot of changes during this weight loss process and sometimes it will rebel but just keep following the plan and you will make it to the finish line and become a healthier you!

Hang in there!
