Syntrax Matrix versus Syntrax Nectar... cant figure it out

I'm getting an order together on Mybariatricpantry dot com, and I'm curious about the "double stuffed cookie" nectar by Syntrax, and I imagine the difference is that you mix this with water instead of milk (like you would the Matrix powder).

or am I totally off base?  The description on the website does not say.  Please can anyone tell me what the difference is between my beloved Matrix powders and the "Nectar" powders?

Thank you in advance.

the difference is the type of protein used. One is whey isolate the other is a combo of different types of protein.

Basically, I believe one of them is an immediate release protein, while the other is extended. I have used both and found little difference in how they dissolve in liquid, etc. They're great, I love Syntrax. The mint cookie is sinful in coffee, must add milk first to "temper" the coffee, then add protein, stir good...better than Starbucks, IMO!

What you mix it with really has to do with taste.  I do "fruit" flavors with water, and others with almond milk.

I personally found the double stuffed cookie sample to be weird when mixed with water. I bet it would be a lot better with something creamier.

Between Matrix and Nectar, the nectar is generally lower carb than the matrix as well.

The chocolate truffle, even mixed with water, tastes like nestle quik.

I have been looking due to the new Peanut butter.  The matrix has more calories and carbs and contains sugar.  The Nectar is lower in calories and cabs and has no sugar.

With both you can mix with water.  I used unsweetened almond milk or decaf with all the non fruit flavors.

I mix the Syntrax Matrix with water. I mix all protein powders with water. They are designed to be made that way.

Well at my size I can do the milk.  The water mix is a good idea for lightweights/ slowed down weight loss time

I also like the Syntrax Trophix flavours, which contain both quick and slow absorbing proteins and have the bonus of being able to be mixed with less milk to make a pudding. Barry's in mushies stage now and REALLY appreciates being able to have "chocolate pudding" with sliced very ripe banana.
