BCBS of MASS - Approval Times?

Anyone have experience with turnaround time for approval with BCBS of MASS?

Hi,

My approval from BCBS of Mass was very fast.  I'd say less than a week. If you call them, they'll tell you how long they think it will be, and mine was much shorter.    I was worried because we were coming up to close to my surgery date, but the approval came pretty fast. 

Which hospital are you working with?  I did my surgery at Lahey.

Do you have a surgery date yet?

I am BCBS of RI. I was surprised how fast they gave me the green light!!

I have blue cross blue shield of Ill. and the doc faxed documents last wednesday and with a holiday, some missing paperwork it was still one week. I called them every day and just got approval yesterday. I would call them at least once a day if I were you.

I agree with Cappy. I also have them it took a week in a half for mine to get approved. You can call them to ask the status.
