First I have a friend, Dave, that had RNY surgery and modified recipes to be weight loss friendly.  He has recipes that could be used early on as well as some that are more for the maintenance phase of things.

Many on this forum talk about using PB2 ... this is a peanut flour basically that sells for too much money.  Usually around $5 or $6 per 6 oz container (the size of a regular jar of peanut butter).  To me this is crazy so I searched and found peanut flour online for $11 per 2 pound bag.  In both cases this peanut flour is defatted so you get the flavor of peanut butter without the calories and fat.  This adds well into protein shakes among other things.  Here is that link ... http://www.iherb.com/Protein-Plus-Roasted-All-Natural-Peanut -Flour-32-oz-907-g/36231

I think that these links are helpful and useful ... hopefully you will find them useful as well.

Thanks! Have you considered turning this into a blog post for easy future reference? I will bookmark for my use, but a blog might be cool too!

Hi Laurie,

I have never done a blog ... are you referring to a blog on this website or some other website in general?

I will consider doing that if it will make things easier or better for others.

Good thoughts.

Here on OH. You can access it through your profile view screen. It's very much the same as writing a post. I've starting posting stuff on mine - historical stuff, writeups I want to remember, a list of pureed recipes, etc. Now that there is so much traffic on the boards, and the search function doesn't return by date, I am finding that keeping track of blogs is helpful!

You are welcome ... the only thing I regret is not having more to share.  It seems as if I have so much more than those links but I guess that is really only my experience being about 14 months post op.  There were some links that I didn't really think were quite as good as the ones that I posted but at least these may prove useful to you at some point.  Some of those websites have a lot to offer.
