Some one pound losses are bigger than others (smile)
Hi all,
I had to write today because I am so happy. The scale read 269 today. For some reason 270 felt close to 300 and 269 is approaching 250! I haven't weighed this little in 30 years! I can't believe it. A year ago, I was 383 pounds, my mobility was poor and diminishing, and I thought I was destined to a life of diminishing mobility and opportunity. I was becoming agoraphobic and feeling so hopeless. I thought I'd never weigh less than 350 pounds again. And here I am a year later, approaching 250 pounds.
My weight loss is slowing down, but I decided that any movement in the right direction is enough. I'm not going to fret about the speed anymore. Its a marathon, not a sprint. The winner is the one who continues.
So here is to: clothing 4 sizes smaller; fitting comfortably behind the wheel of my car; having the energy to walk a mile; feeling more confident; finding people more friendly; and looking forward to many years of health and new possibilities.
I hope you all find similar success and joy from this challenging but rewarding journey.
