At what point did you start eating shrimp? And also how did you prepare it, how many were you able to eat?

I was allowed shrimp when I was on my soft foods diet.  2 or 3 at most.  And I sauteed them in a homemade sugar free teriyaki sauce.

I started at soft foods, boiled with lemon, and I could eat 2.

I haven't started to eat them yet but I know I could.  I was cleared for them after the soft mushy phase.  I would most likely stick to a serving size which varies by the size of shrimp you get.  I believe a serving is like 5-7 of the jumbos but I'm not 100% sure.  Pulling that from memory.

Here's the funny part I tell people though, I eat so little in general there's not a lot of time for sampling a lot of things.  Frankly, I've been too busy trying out various protein rich fresh seafood to get to the shrimp yet.  I laugh about this because it really comes down to the fact that by the time you sample something for a particular meal the meal is over. Plus, since you usually have to buy in quantities larger than you can eat at one setting, I have leftovers for several meals.

However, I'm looking forward to some interesting shrimp combos in the future.  It seems like a quick easy protein rich meal option.

Shrimp ****tail and talipia were my first dense protein sources.  Shrimp ****tail dipped in sauce and talipia with montreal steak seasoning on it.  Starting out I could only eat 1-2 shrimps and now can eat 6.  Talipia started out at 1 oz and can not eat 3 oz.  I am 7.5 months out.

I started off with salad shrimp - mix a tiny bit of ****tail sauce in there and put in a few bites of avocado and I'm a happy girl.   It took longer for me to stomach regular-size shrimp again.  It just was too chewy and sat like lead in my gut.  I just tried it again last week and it went a little better.  I sauteed it with some butter and garlic.

Oh...and as for serving size....I measure everything out to 2-3 oz.  If the shrimp is bigger I'm obviously not going to get as many :-)

At about 2 months, love them. I eat a lot of fish, have not had a problem with either, thank God. I prepare mines all kinds of way, but they are very convenient, perfect!

3 weeks out.  I took my son out for a celebratory dinner, and ordered a shrimp ****tail.  I could only eat 2 of them!
