One week on pre-op lost 8 pounds. Learned some facts that I was not expecting to.

Because I am having the sleeve I can take calcium carbonate, instead of calcium citrate, post op.

I will have to go home with a blood thinner injection kit, for 2 injections per day for ten days. I hate needles, but better than a clot.

Very excited to start this journey!

Love this forum, learn so much here.

Yes you can take calcium carbonate with food but calcium citrate is still the best absorbed for us.

BAND REMOVED 9-4-12-fought insurance to get sleeve and won! Sleeved 1/22/13! Five years out and trying to get that last 15 pounds back off.

Happy to hear they are sending you home with blood thinners. My surgeon doesn't do that unless you have clotting issues. Well besides what that give you in the hospital. I would feel a little bit safer if he didnl tho
