HOLY CRAP I am wearing an XL/18-20 shirt and 22-24 jeans. When I began this process in December, 2012 I was in size 28 pants and a 3X/26-28 shirt. I haven't worn a 24 on the bottom since before my daughter was born (almost 14 years ago), and I haven't had an 18-20 on top since I was first married (almost 20 years ago).
It's amazing how much more flattering fitted clothes are over giant baggy sacks! ;)
That is awesome!! I had my thrift store experience last week/week before. The smallest thing in my closet were 18/20's for pants and mostly 2x's in tops. I bought 3 pair of jeans, no dressing room so I just guessed and took them home. One was Kohls 16 average jeans, a pair of skinny jeans size 17 and another pair of skinny jeans size 17/18. Im not into skinny jeans but didnt realize it at the time. I honestly dont think ive work anywhere close to that since Jr High and im 48! A thrill in itself. Now onto to finding some winter clothes this week. I freeze! I gave 2 huge boxes to my gf, some to another gf, 2 huge boxes for homeless shelter and Dress for Success program in my town. I have some for sale on a clothing site. Tonight when I went out with my girls, I had on the 16 jeans and an xl sweater from old navy i got 2nd hand. I was tickled!
