Love my trainer
I had a great session. I brought my bands and he developed a home routine for me using my bands. We are focusing on my balance and strengthening. To have a parapelegic train you is inspirational. When I want to give up and stop standing I think of how much he would give to be able to.
The deficits I have remaining from my stroke are nothing compared to his situation. He is amazing.
Wendy
Wendy, I have never had a stroke but my father had several and just a few weeks after each stroke you could not even tell that he had ever been ill. After one stroke he told my mother to call, Vickie, the woman he carpooled to work with to come get him for work the next day. My mother asked him how he thought he was going to be able to work when he could barely walk. My father told he that if he stayed in his chair he would die. So my mother called, Vickie and the next morning my father fell down 3 times going out to the car. In another 10 days he was back to his old self. I think he is one of the most stubborn men I have ever known. Be stubborn and hang in there Wendy.
