Well, I didn't see that coming!
I went yesterday for my monthly weigh in and I lost 13 lb! I started at 337 and I am now 289, 2 pounds away from losing 50!!!
I was so elated and proud of myself. I have been at it since May and even though it is a six month program, due to my husband's schedule, etc I am waiting until March to have my surgery which makes it about 10 months from the start. They told me that to qualify for the surgery, I have to be above a 40 BMI which means that I can only lose 27 more pounds in the next 4 months or so. I have been in a groove, losing about 10 lb a month, I don't want to stop. The dietician wants me to increase my calories so that I am losing only a pound a week.
I am feeling a little put off at the moment.
Awesome job! It'll be March before you know it!

Congrats on the weight loss. Keep up the amazing work!!
Please make sure your BMI does not fall below 40 or else you will not qualify for the surgery. My BMI was 41 when I started my 6 month program so I had to make sure I didn't lose too much weight or else at the end of the 6 months the insurance company may have said that I no longer qualified. The insurance company just wants to see that you are trying and since you're losing weight that shows them that you will stick to the eating plan once you have the VSG.
It may be a little discouraging that you have to slow down your weight loss between now and May but it will be SO worth it in the end. Think about the bigger picture!!
