I make food for a living. I've been off for two weeks, but I started work again today, and I just realized how much I taste the foods I'm making. For sure, the taste is just enough for end of your small finger, but these foods are mostly not foods I will be eating - maybe for the rest of my life.

Any others in the food service industry? What are your experiences with food tasting, etcetera?

I work in an elementary school cafeteria! I actually have not had too many problens being around food all day. My senses have changed so much that smells that used to tempt me don't even bother me anymore. I find it very rare that I crave anything anymore so the food doesn't get to me. I had my surgery in September so it's been a couple months now.

Can you do what wine tasters do? Taste and spit instead of swallow? Just be discreet so people don't think the food you are tasting is disgusting! LOL!
