Number two
Hi: OH friends,
I have a question, when you had your first bowel movement after surgery, did you have or see blood in your stool? I ask this question because with all the cutting and stapling that was done, I think you would see blood in the stool. I have not had surgery yet, maybe at the end of December, will be my day.

Nope, not a drop.

Not a bit. In fact, my surgeon said that typical VSG patients loose less than 3 cc of blood during surgery.

I had my surgery on 11/25. The pre-op bowel prep is certainly the worst. I am not sure if that was still in my system post-op but for the first 4 days after surgery I had very watery diarrhea. Now one week post op my stool is very loose, but not so watery. I also have not had any of the constipation that others complain of. I am not sure if that is a side effect from the pain medication that they were taking. I only take the pain medication once a day and that is at night prior to going to bed for a more comfortable sleep; pain free.
