Hair loss
For me, it started at three months and lasted for two. Gobs of it at first but eventually got better. I'm now close to eight months and its back to where it was before surgery in my opinion.. it really wasn't as bad as i was expecting.

Mine started to fall out at 3 months, and has slowed, but not stopped at 7 months out. My hair is pretty thin now. I have to use a body foam and blow it dry to cover my scalp. Its not fun. I think there is a bit of hair coming back, but not a lot. It is caused as a reaction to the trauma of surgery. Your hair has a natural cycle of growth, then resting, and then it falls out when new hair starts growing beneath it. The surgery puts a lot of your hair into the resting stage at once and then about three months later, the new hair starts growing and pushes it out. Its temporary, but I'll be happier when I see lots of new hair...
hang in there. This too shall pass! (smile)

The loss is because of the shock of surgery. It's the way your body copes. Nothing you can do about it and nothing can stop it. Don't believe the people that say it's vitamin related and don't waste your money with all of those products that say their stuff helps. Use your money toward maintaining the proper blood work levels and everything will work itself out. The hair loss is gradual and starts a few months out and is usually done by 9 months. You should be back to normal hair before a year is up. It's a small price to pay to get skinny and be healthy.
