Got a date!
I am SO excited to say this! I got my surgery date today - January 28. I have been SO anxiously awaiting all of the preoperative hoops to be done so I could finally say it is REAL. Now, the REAL fun begins!
Time to get ready for that surgery. I know as the time approaches I will be needing a LOT of support here, but have already been getting so much just by reading everyone's comments about their experiences - both the struggles and the triumphs. All of it helps me to have a good perspective.
I cannot believe I am actually taking this step. I would have SWORN I would never do this. And I probably wouldn't have several years ago. But, now the time is right and I feel much more confident about the safety, etc., so I am ready to jump in!
Can't wait to join the rest of you on the "loser's bench!"
