VSG done Dec. 31!

So far, so good. I haven't bounced back as well as I'd hoped, but then again, I am a morbidly obese 57yr old with many co-mobidities. Had a hard time keeping my oxygen up for about 36 hours and had an allergic reaction to the pain med. Then last night my psych meds turned on me--I was completely stoned, not even coherent. And I woke and thought I was in the morgue! So instead of a 23-hr stay I will be here 4days.Water is going down well, but the protein supps have been difficult.

Hang in there...the protein shakes went down ROUGH the first day. I got the hot spits and thought I would lose it. It felt SO TIGHT and I dreaded the smallest sip. Also helped to get up and move around a bit as I was sippig.

 What a difference a day made. 100% improved the next day. Also switched to already prepared Premier Protein Shake...so much smoother than the Carnation Instant Breakfast shake the hospital made me.
