According to my fitness pal 4 large fried egg whites with ketchup is only about 88 calories, and high in protein and it taste great!  Just sharing :)

it is true. Justbe aware that if you take the yolk out of the egg equation,it will not be a complete protein. It takes the egg and yolk together to make up the amino acid profile that makes it a complete protein.

Aw, why no love for the yolk?  Whole eggs are awesome and full of good things.

Ya yolks are good but I just want to keep the calories to a bare minimum and have some food in my stomach beside protein shake.  My pre-op diet says 3 protein shakes a day.  IF I get very hungry I'm allowed to have a 1/2 can of minestrone soup.  Which from the label has more calories and carbs than I want, so I chose egg whites.

Wow, that's a super restrictive pre-op diet!  I'll be on mine for 10 days and I can have up to six shakes a day.  (Which seems like a ton.)

A lot of the strictness is my own making.  It really says I can have 3 shakes a day, unlimited green veggies and tomatoes and mushrooms.  I just know that unlimited for me just doesn't work so I'm not giving myself much slack.  I've lost 20lbs since the first of the month though lol
