Talked to doc about my hydrostatic results - goal updated
VSG on 06/12/13
I talked with my doc's office today and since I have this data now, he wants me to set my goal at a BF% of 20% or lower. That would put me at 158, actually lower than (but terribly close to) his original goal of 160 for me. I am going to go ahead and shoot for 18.5% just for kicks. That puts me at a goal weight of 155.
11 pounds away. This feels good to me.

Way to go! I'm a big believer in using BF% to set your final goal. SO much better than BMI...
ANd congrats on getting so close already!

Tom, I'm so glad you wrote in -
Short of redoing the testing, do you have recommendations for how I can be sure that 18.5% = 155? Or, do I just assume that it is close enough and drive on? I talked to my trainer tonight and he said that we just stay the course and keep doing what we're doing. We will check the handheld more frequently to ensure numbers are going down as I am going to tinker with my caloric intake a little to see what happens, but I do wonder how to manage this on a realistic basis.
Thanks,
Laurie
