Today marks the first year since my VSG surgery, so much has changed for the better! I started my journey at 288 a size 28/3XL, today I'm 143 an a size 6/small. More importantly all my labs are normal, I'm no longer taking meds and I'm healthy!! I became a runner and strength train on an average of 4 days a week. My metabolic age went from 57 to 32 and my visceral fat was 20 and now it's 5. If your still on the fence, this is the best decision I've ever made for myself! http://images.obesityhelp.com/uploads/profile/1016121/albums/122919/PhotoGrid_1389737452794.jpghttp://images.obesityhelp.com/uploads/profile/1016121/albums/122919/PhotoGrid_1389737452794.jpg Not sure why my photos won't post here!! Guess you will have to see them on my profile.

I am just starting so thanks for the inspiration!  Just finished my 1st week from surgery.  I can't wait to see what happens.

Here is a break down of my weight loss.

*June 2013 Start 268 lost 16 before WW.
*September 2013 Start WW at 252 lost lost 8 before Protein shakes.
*December 2013 Start Protein shakes at 244 lost 8 again before surgery.

*January 2014 had Surgery start at 236 (thus I personally took off 32 before surgery)

I have lost to 219 as of this morning so that is 17 lbs on my first week.

Had surgery on Monday and started my walking routine again on Thursday.  I did 1.5 miles the first day and have it up to 2.5 miles now.  I was doing 3 miles a day before surgery and trying to get back there.

Tell me some things to watch for please.

Great job pre-op!   Also, good job on the walking so much already.  I hope I feel up to that much walking in my first week. I have gotten into a good routine and have a fear that it will be hard to get back into it post-op.

The only advice I have is to make all you can of the 1st yr. Stick with your program, make sure you incorporate physical activity & get your water in! Best of luck to you :-) Julia that bedroom set rocks!!
