I forgot to celebrate the monumental mark of hitting 40lbs!  My weight on the day of surgery was 240, and 2.5 months out I'm now at 200!  I've been so frustrated seeing the scale bounce back and forth between 200 and 200.5 that I forgot I hit 40 lbs!   Yay!

Congrats on your milestone! Hang in there on ONDERLAND... our bodies seem to like to tease us for a little while before putting us there. I am SO close as well and feel like it's never going to happen - but it will! We have to stay strong lol!

I have 12 more lb to go myself, but in my focus I compleatly overlooked the 50lb and 60lb marks.  We just must all promise that we wont over look the onederland mark.

It's totally going to happen, and soon! Make sure you take a picture of that magical number while standing on the scale and post it..it's a fantastic milestone and you are going to do one helluva happy dance when it happens

Congrates on hitting 40lbs gone! That makes a difference! I am three lbs away from hitting Onederland. Once I hit that I will be down 50lbs and will have less weight to loose than I have lost! I get on the scale on Monday AM. I would love to see it tomorrow but I know that I will hit it! I can't control when i do it! If only we could!!  We are doing great!

You'll get there!! I FOUGHT with the last few pounds that finally put me under 200. You are completely right that you need to celebrate how far you've come. I was whining to my mother (who is 300 pounds herself) about not being able to get the scale under 200 and she, not so gently, reminded me that I've lost ALMOST ONE HUNDRED POUNDS. It definitely put things into perspective!

Nikke2003 and Chrissy are right. for some reason, the scales just loooooves to hover around the 200 mark and tease you for a few days...a few ounces under, a few ounces over, etc., etc., etc.  It did it with my initial weight loss, and it did it again a couple of weeks ago during my current regain loss.  Just HANG IN THERE and smile back at the scale, knowing you're about to show that b**ch who's boss. :D

Good job on the -40lbs! We sometimes focus so hard on the little numbers we hope to lose that we forget about the huge numbers we've already lost. You'll get there!
