HEY I AM SHOUTING my blood sugar was dropping to 22,my doctor has taken me off the 100 units at bedtime to no more Lantus at night.  I am soooo Happy!

I just test in the morning and do a sliding scale and this is just my second week Post op  My doctor got so scared for  me cause at the office it was only 50 it's amazing.

THAT'S AWESOME!!! people keep telling me to get the RNY instead of the sleeve because I am diabetic (bs around 140) I love love love hearing this!!!!

i have been off my slow acting insulin and byetta since my surgery , and my a1c is now 5.8 the same or better than preop with the sugar

but I still take 2 1000 gm metiformin a day and was told both by my pcp my endocrinologist and my surgeon that it is possible that when I loss more I will be off them

my fasting bs is usually around 115-130 and my 2 hour post eating is 90-115

What a Joy I'm sorry for just responding but my mother passed right after my first week Post op.  Prayers and  faith keeps me strong, congratulations on your success
