Syntrex
Today is the first day of my liquid pre-op diet and, even though I have a shake I really love, I decided to try some of the Syntrex powder I had ordered. I mixed it as I normally do my other shakes - 8 ounces of liquid, powder, shake up super well in a blender bottle and OH MY GOSH there is so much foam!! Probably 4-5x as much as I get with my normal shakes. I was not expecting that. So now it's sitting in my fridge waiting for the foam to subside...
How much liquid do you mix your Syntrex shakes with? I used 8oz of water, but I have a feeling that's going to be way too strong for me. :/ I'm trying the Roadside Lemonade.

You can avoid the foam by not putting it in a blender bottle. I make mine in a glass and stir it...it dissolves rather easily and produces no foam. When I mix Roadside Lemonade (as I will be doing in 20 mins when I head to pilates :-) I mix 1 scoop with 16 ounces of water and a bunch of ice cubes. I find it tastes better diluted.
I'll give the stirring thing a go, thanks! I already dilute the CL lemonade I drink, so it seems totally plausible that I'd need to dilute this stuff as well.

I mix mine with an immersion blender and get no foam. I hear that if you make sure your shaker bottle is completely full you will get no or at least a lot less foam.
I either mix mine with a fork in a Tervis glass. I always do a minimum of 12 oz but usually 16 oz. I never get foam. I sometimes blend my protein mix, water and a few ice cubes in my Vitamix. My Vitamix whirls it so fast that it literally turns it into a creamy protein ice cream. Yummy! Nice change of pace.

I use 8-12 ounces of water and shake it up in a coffee go-cup. They're smaller than a blender bottle so they don't foam us as much as in a blender bottle. I set my go-cup ni the fridge for 30-60 min and that takes care of the foam. If I need the protein drink immediately I just stir it up with a teaspoon and add ice.
