After surgery protein?
I had similar progress as Teresa, getting in 75-90g consistently in the second week - well enough that the doc was adding veg to my diet at our day 10 meeting. Others will struggle to get in that 60 for a few weeks. When my wife went through this a few years ago she had a lot harder time getting in her liquids and protein than I did, and didn't progress quite as quickly - normal variations between individuals.

Yesterday was my first day. (Day 6). I'd been getting 48 grams on days 3-5, but yesterday I got 78 and will keep with that.
I've just made myself a 16oz protein shake with 48 grams in they morning and worked on finishing that off first before drinking anything else.

I am 1 week post-op and scared to try the protein shakes. My doctor said protein is good but the shakes may be too tough at first. I am struggling to get in all my liquids but trying to increase a little every day. Made it to 42 oz. yesterday. 4oz. Of my total were the Unjury chicken soup. I also had sf jello and 2oz. Of Greek yogurt.
Am I doing Ok? I feel pretty good but do not go for my post-op appt until next Thursday.
Ready to get started on this journey!
