Feeling Hunger?

Hi everyone;  My question of the day is does everyone at 3- 31/2 months out feel hunger?  I am talking about the stomach growling hunger, not head hunger.  I am reading on here that a lot of people don't feel hunger any more.  Well of course, I do.  Or does that happen after the 6-month period?  I know that if I eat a protein bar, I am hungry after, very hungry, but if I eat lean protein, I am very, very full for 1/2 hour and then I feel hungry again, and no, I am not drinking water with or after my meals.

I guess I was looking forward to that loss of hunger thing, but it's not happening.  I am finally out of my stall, but I was just curious if I am alone in this as I sit and type and I am hungry even though I just ate.

Are you taking a PPI?  A lot of times that stomach growling hunger is actually acid. Weird, eh?

Yes I am taking a PPI, in fact, took it this morning, but I talked to the NUT about this and she said there is not truth to that theory.  I know sometimes they have different answers than the doc does so when I go for my follow up next week, I will see what he says (probably something different).

Most hunger is from eating carbs and from eating slider type foods.  If you concentrate on dense protein and eliminate almost all carbs, you will probably have very little hunger.

I am 7 days post op now and have the same thing....I was able to eat a 6 ounce yogurt and my after care coordinator said not to eat that much at once, but I had no trouble eating it??? I don't quite get it yet.

My nut said that yogurt due to the consistency is not gonna restrict yiu like dense protein hence you eating 6 oz in a sitting. She said its fine as long as you dont make yourself uncomfortable and stay within your cal/carb limits

Nope, I track everything on MFP and I eat very little carbs.  If I do it's a couple of green beans or 2 asparagus.  I eat mostly dense protein and it fills me up rapidly, except for snacks which might be a greek yogurt  or something like that.  I just had some lunch meat and cheese for lunch which really filled me up quickly after a few bites, nothing to drink, no carbs so I am going to watch real closely as to when I get hungry again.  I will watch my carbs meantime.  I want to feel no hunger.  I will say that I always drink something when I feel it; water, tea, sometime skim milk if I am low on protein.  I might be a little guilty on the slider foods just because I get tired of chicken and fish and want to try something else.
