I'm so happy I had the surgery.  It's been almost 3 weeks .  I had   very easy recovery.   I do not miss eating big portions   I'm glad I can finally eat "like a normal person" and small portions and I hope it lasts forever.  Good luck.  Don't be scared. It's the best thing for us. I lost 33 pounds so far.   I can't tell you enough  how happy  that i did it !

For me, this was the best health-related decision I've ever made.  It's not just the weight loss, but the health issues associated with being obese quickly disappearing - and the prescriptions are not needed.  It is a definite adjustment from living to eat to eating to live, but your surgeon and staff, and my family and friends support system has been a tremendous help.  Lots of good luck!

NO...though just recently had VSG but tried for two years to get insurance approved & finally did so NO NO NO; when I started eating right before surgery I found myself amazed at all the good healthy foods out there & all the options that I've yet to try and wondered why had I never tried them before...I'm just already feeling so much better, better than I have in years and am only on POD#8  Surgery is just a tool you have to be in a positive mind space as well and do the life-time work.  NOTHING else I've tried has worked for me, I've dropped a lot of weight in the past with the use of now banned ephedrine & starvation & it was wrecking my body.  There will be foods I'm sure I'll miss eating but the victories will out-weigh the short term taste.  Being able to get this surgery is a great blessing to me.

No regrets. Delighted with the sleeve. Lost 50 pounds since surgery almost 3 months ago. I know it will be hard work at some point, losing and maintaining, but so far it has been relatively easy for me. Good luck, my friend. You will be happy.

None here! Just takes a bit to adjust your head...that is still work in progress off and on.

You will be fine. You will get through it by leaning on your faith and good people. Just keep checking in with us and there will always be someone around to help get over the hurdles. It's going to be a journey, but the end is worth every step.
