Weight Range Question
I decided to move forward with plastics then immediately began second guessing myself. Am I ready? Should I wait 20 more pounds? Etc etc
Meanwhile, I did research on "healthy" body weight. According to the Army body fat guide, with all of my measurements. I am still nearly 40% body fat (based on wrist size, ankle size, waist to hip ratio and lots of other factors). According to that guide, I should be 122.5 pounds and need to lose 32 pounds of fat still. My scales say I am 30% body fat. I wanted to be 135. The surgeon told me not to lose anymore so he has fat to "harvest" to put in other places that I need it (such as buttocks). If he had not given me these instructions, I would not have had the surgery until another 15 pounds, at least.
How realistic is this? I knew we all have different goals but I am 5'6, wrist size 6". How many people got to goal and had to adjust down? Or up? Is 15% body fat realistic? Am I Kidding myself? My fear is no longer NOT reaching goal because I know what is involved now to get there. My fear is that I will have the surgery, spend a ton of money and THEN lose weight and need a revision.
Based on some posts here, I'm not even going to consider plastics until I've maintained at my goal for at least 18 months. Some people have said that even up to that point their skin was still tightening on its own and that places they thought they'd need plastics for initially no longer needed it.
Everyone is different, clearly, but that's my two cents on the topic.

I'm with you, I am 15 months out and don't think that my body has actually decided where it wants to be yet. I have been about the same weight for 6 months, not sure I am done. Places I thought I would need surgery are improving every day and I am not actively doing antyhing to correct them. I don't want to pay all that money for plastics and then gain weight and ruin the work that was done. I want to make sure my body weight is stable.
Exactly! And I'd rather not spend the money or the risk of surgery if my skin will tighten up on its own given a bit of time :)
