1 month update
What a journey this is!! A lot of change in a month.
Most of my struggles had to do with emotions and pain. I have a hematoma under one of my incisions (like a rock hard ball-started size of tennis ball and now golf ball). It has really irritated the muscles and nerves underneath and has limited some activities. It is getting better now- which is a great feeling! Emotionally, I was feeling really down 1-2 weeks postop. I forced myself to get out and do "normal" stuff and it faded. I still am really cranky/snappy at my kids and fiancée-hopefully that gets better.
Exercise is going well. I had trouble with walking because of pain-but for the past week I have been able to do it everyday.
As far as food goes, I am cleared to eat anything except raw veggies. When I was on puréed, I was often hungry and could eat over a half of a cup. With real food I have learned, after 3 days of foamies and vomiting, that I can only eat 1.5 oz or 1/4 cup of dense protein and I am not hungry as often. I am at about 60 G protein, low carb, and get 450-600 calories in. water has been more difficult since I started the real food-but I'm working on that.
Have lost 26 pounds since surgery, 80 total!!! I've dropped 2 sizes and feel a lot less embarrassed about my weight. I'm ready to lose the next 100!

Thats great. Sounds like things are getting easier. I've noticed things getting easier for me also, but I also have the "short temper" sometimes with hubs and kids. I am really working on not being crabby. I honestly don't know wy I'm like that because I have no reason to be lol. Keep going! Your doing great :)

Glad to know I'm not the only crab! I wonder if it is because I've had to have more of my focus on myself and they still expect all of me (or that I interpret that they want more of me)

The short temper could be from hormone dumping since you just had surgery.
Click on the magnifying glass at the upper right and type in "Hormone Dumping."
Good luck!

That seems to be what it is for most people, so I guess I'll use that too. My NUT didn't give me a guideline for raw veg!
