Life is so funny.

I was totally prepared to spend this day in a self pity funk.  Today would be my mom's 67th birthday but she left us three years ago in February.  I still feel like she just passed, I miss her terribly.  My brother and his wife were expecting their third child and had a c-section scheduled for April 17.  Well, last night, my SIL went into labor and so she had a c-section about 1 am this morning.  I guess my Mom is telling us she's still running the show.

That is sweet!  And the joyful event kind of replaces the sad anniversary/memory with a happy one.  Congrats on being a new auntie!

I lost my mom last summer and I know how hard it is.  Having such a joyful event to celebrate life (both your mom's and new niece/nephew) sounds perfect.

God bless you and the new baby & parents!

Oops, I guess I should have said SHE was born...her name is Charli.  Our grandfather is Charlie and will be turning 90 later this month.

I love this story, and yeah, she is still running things but from a higher place.  :)  I love her name...that is so cute and full of charm.
