Missing my old life at the moment!
When my son goes on a Scout camp out, my husband and I would always go to our favorite pizza place. We would get a salad and a pizza with hot sausage, pepperoni and prosciutto. Well, tonight is the first time we aren't going and I'm kind of sad about it!
The thought of eating even a bite of pizza is unpleasant but I still miss it for some reason.
I agree with Laurie, time to create new traditions!
My mom and I used to always go on a canoe trip together when my dad and brother went off to a scouting event. It was super fun. Maybe you could start a similar tradition!

No, I get you 100% I've been thinking the last few days how I miss sitting down to a whole pile of mashed potatoes and gravy- or a stack of pancakes with whatever.... It's the experience- the activity- the event i miss - not so much the actual food. What is it with that? I don't know. What I do know is that eating that way will take me back to a place I don't want to be anymore. The cost is too great. I have choices now- I've made mine. Can't have it all.... I'll settle for some.
