NSV! Woot~!
Well, I wasn't expecting this! I have been in a slooow-loss stage for about a month. Partly to my own fault, I admit. I had a 10 day business trip in mid- March where I had to eat out a lot. That sort of got into my head and I haven't been quite as careful about my diet. Despite all that, I have lost some weight and a bunch of inches. However, I never expected this...
I went camping this weekend with DH. The temps got up in the high 70s and all I had brought was long black pants and long sleeved shirts. So, it was off to the local Walmart to see if I could find a pair of shorts and a shirt. I found a couple shirts, so I gathered up two sizes. Then I found some shorts and gathered them up too. Went into the dressing room, and holy cow! I could easily wear the size L shirts! Put on the shorts and I swear, a family of gypsies could have joined me in the seat! Left the dressing room to get smaller shorts. Holy cow! Still too big. I was practically swimming in them. Back out to find MORE shorts. At last! they fit! And they were a size 12. I don't think I've been a size 12 since before my baby was born--and he turns 19 this month!
Then I put my other clothes back on and got a good look in the full length mirror. I saw a nice looking woman wearing huge pants and shirt, very unflattering. I thought "do I really look like that?" So I found some bras and thought, "why not go for it?" I've been wearing my 44Cs and they're pretty big, to the point that they aren't so "uplifting" anymore. Huh? I could wear a 40C~ So that prompted me to buy some new bras & panties. I've been wearing the same old 2X panties that I bought last summer and they are getting pretty loose. Size 8 panties now!
So it's been three months since my sleeve and I've dropped from a size 20/2-3X to a size L/12. Now that's some motivation to get back on that horse and ride. I'm going to get with a trainer this week and recommit to an exercise program and keep on journaling my food.
What amazing NSVs! Congrats!
Just yesterday I went through my own closet and cleared out the summer items that no longer fit. Hubby asked me, "What about your bras and panties?" and I replied, "Not like I can give those away, but I don't want to spend the money just yet. I'm still so far from goal..." However, I suspect time is quickly coming for me to splurge a bit. Otherwise I'll be going commando!!!
Congratulations on such an incredible revelation! Size 12... my heavens. That must feel AMAZING!!! YAHOOO!
