Realistic Goals
I have a few questions. I am set to have my band removed and the sleeve done on April 28th. It has been 4 yrs since my band. I have lost 100lbs, but put on 15-20 back. I am at 190lbs (5ft)--what is a realistic weight loss my 1st month post-op? I remember I lost about 15 the first 2 wks and 30 within the 1st few months. The other 70 was thru diet and exercise.
I am super excited and nervous about round 2 on my journey. Any advice or feedback for the 1st month post-op would be greatly appreciated!
Seems like a good question to ask your surgeon!

The safest thing to do would be to follow your doctor's instructions, and don't set a "number" goal. If you set a number, then don't hit it, you will be disappointed, or depressed, or start doubting having the surgery in the first place. If you exceed the number, that will throw you for a curve as well. Every person is different. You can look at two people who have almost exact stats and have completely different weight loss trends. Good luck in your continued journey.
I appreciate it! I am not so much setting a determined # goal, I was just curious what the average seems to be. I know my best bet is to see how I fit in clothes. My 1st goal is to get back into my skinny clothes, which is about 1-2 sizes away depending on the brand! My skinny clothes right now is a size 12-14. I wonder what it would be like to shop for single digits lol.
