2 weeks out update
Hi all!
Today, I am 2 weeks out from surgery and I am doing great! This has been a remarkably easy process so far - I'm almost afraid to say that and jinx myself. :) The only pain I've felt was gas pain - but that was easily resolved by walking every 2 hours or so for the first two days - and one incision was a little tender for about a week. No nausea at all! My surgeon prescribes Emend before surgery and that stuff did the trick. Overall, this has been 100 times easier than my gallbladder-from-hell surgery last year.
Now if only I can stay off the scale! Grrr...

Good luck to you! Best thing I can suggest is to walk as soon and as often as you are able.

My two week surgiversary is this coming Thursday. Like you, I was also amazed at how quickly I felt "normal". I was off pain meds within three days of being home from the hospital--when he had prescribed me a week and a half's worth.
I was also told to take Emend before surgery, and I didn't feel ANY nausea while in the hospital. (And still haven't felt any since being discharged).
