Should I Reschedule...

My surgery is scheduled for this Thursday and not only did I cheat on my 2 week pre op diet, yesterday morning I woke up with a "little" cold! I started taking meds for the cold last night and I feel better this morning. I think by Thursday the cold should be gone but I still cheated on my pre op and I feel like such a FAILURE!! I didn't cheat bad but I still feel bad. The diet wasn't even that bad to follow! it was pretty simple and easy! I feel Awful! Should I tell my surgeon that I cheated and just reschedule?

Tell your surgeon and get his advice - I think the cold issue is more important than the 'cheat' on your pre-op for the surgery part. But tell him/her and let their guidance dictate your action with regard to the schedule. Personally I don't think it will make a difference but talk to your surgeon. Good luck with the surgery!!!

Try to relax. You are probably having a case of the pre-op jitters which is totally normal. Do something nice for yourself and it'll all be over soon and your new healthy life will begin. 

Thank you! I'll be pampering myself later. Btw, my surgeon wants me to buy adult liquid Tylenol and adult Tylenol suppositories...I can't seem to find them anywhere. It's the only thing on my list that he gave me that I can't seem to find. Do you know where I can get them?

Adult liquid Tylenol is hard to find, but you can use Children's Tylenol; you'll just have to calculate the dose based on body weight.

Walmart sells the generic brand of liquid adult tylenol. It's the only place i found it.

Can you tell me the name of the generic brand? I'd appreciate that.
