So, my drs. office just called with a follow-up of my blood work that i did 2 weeks ago. Everything looks good, except my vitamin D is on the low side. The PA wants me to take some otc vitamin d3 (1000mg) 1 twice a day. Damn it seems like the pills keep building up.

It's very common for the MO to have low D levels.  Were you taking any D3 before?  That sounds like a low dosage to me.  I just bought some D3 softgels from Costco made by Nature's Bounty which are 5,000 IU.

Mine was low too, I took those Vitamin D supplements they prescribed and I'm about to be re-tested soon.

You can also get D3 in liquid format.  one drop = 1000IU.  Best to put mix it with something for better absorption.  I mix mine in my yogurt or on a TBSP with some protein shake.
