Weight Gain?

I know it's bad, but I weigh every day.  I am 4 weeks out but the last 2 days, I've gained 2 lbs.  I'm staying around 800-1000 cal a day.  Plenty of water.  I'm worried I will be that one who doesn't lose.  Getting discouraged.

Hi.. I stalled for about 10 days at that point - even gained here and there.  Then I started dropping pretty fast again.  Hang in there.  Stick to high protein.  It will be fine and you will start losing again!

Do a search on here about stalls.  I've read lots of people talking about stalls at approximately the 3 week mark, although seems to vary slightly by person.  Don't get discouraged!  You know that you simply have to loss weight when so drastically changing your caloric intake.  Stick with your plan and you will get through this!  Good luck!

I also weigh everyday but you have to stop and learn right now that you can not let the number on that scale rule your moods.  You are going to have days that the scale is down, days that the scale does not move and days that they scale is going to go up.  Our bodies fluctuate from day to day and hour to hour.  Weigh yourself at the same time each day prior to any food or liquids.  Take your body measurements and use them as another way to measure your progress.  The scale should help you to keep on track but not rule your life.  If it is going to discourage you because the number is not what you want it to be then you need to stay off of it.  You are doing just fine.  Calories are not as important as what your protein totals are and your oz of water.

I weigh every day, I don't know why that's bad.  Try to start using something like trendweight.com - that will let you focus to your weight trends instead of on daily fluctuations.

I too weigh myself everyday, first thing in the morning, nude. I like to use that as a comparison and guide for how my eating affects my overall losses. I definitely see a correlation between high protein/water intake to scale victories, so it helps to keep me on track. My trick to not letting the daily fluctuations bother me, is that I ONLY record my LOSSES on myfitnesspal. I also am keeping a list on my phone of weekly and monthly losses. So, if I'm falling off track and see that I haven't lost anything in a few days or even gained a few ounces, I double down for the rest of the week before Wed (the day of the week I had surgery day, and my official weekly weigh-in) to make sure I have lost at least something each week. This has worked to get me over any weekend sliding that I tend to do and give me a mini goal of just a handful of days at a time.  It also helps to motivate me, when I look at the chart either on MFP or OH, to see only a downward trend even if the slope isn't as steep now as it was right before/after surgery.
