I'm about to head to Walmart, I need some ideas for things to grab. I'm going to look for PB2 for sure. I want to get a banana to freeze and add to my protein shake. I'm thinking about Torani syrup.....yay or nay? I can add it to protein shakes and what else? Anything else I should get to "spice" things up.

I start purée next week....any essentials?

thanks guys!

Don't know if you'll find PB2 or Torani syrups at Walmart.  I'm ordering mine online.  You might find coffee flavored syrup with the chocolate and strawberry syrups, but I doubt it would be sugar-free.  You could use instant coffee to flavor shakes.  Someone else mentioned they found peanut butter powder near the Nutella.

You should find the banana though!

Have you got measuring cups, food scale, and small containers?

Good luck!

Not for flavor, but for extra fiber-- think ground flax seed-- great for regularity- fiber- easy breezy in a protein shake---

Thank you.  I still do a shake in the morning for breakfast- 25 g. protein and only about 8 g. carbs.  Can''t beat it.  It's a time thing- do it for the commute to work.  If you like your  shakes thick-try  putting a Tbl. of sugar free pudding of your choice into the Rocket blender--- I like PB2 w/ chocolate and a tsp of cocoa-- or  just vanilla protein with PB2 and about  a third of a small bananna.   As you get further out- it's appropriate to add about a 3'd cup of berries- blue or rasp- or straw for fiber and flavor.  Whey isolate is the best way to go-- we absorb it so much better than whey cassinate.   Enjoy!  work hard-- You will do this!  Bonnie

My advice for purees is just to plan, plan, plan.  If your plan doesn't specify what you can eat (mine didn't) plan meals with an eye toward moisture.  They don't need to be bland and boring.  Here's the list of the foods I ate during my pureed diet.

Reaching pureed foods was really when I started feeling human again.  I could eat the same foods as my family and eat with my family.  Plus it was when I started eating three meals a day instead of just "grazing" on liquids.  During liquids I got PB2 and sugar free Toranis to change up my shakes, but I ended up just sticking to my shake and not using that stuff.

Oh my gosh......someone gave me your site a few days ago and I had it bookmarked! Awesome list! Thanks for making that, girl!

i went to Walmart and got PB2. I already sprinkled a little bit onto some chocolate sugar-free pudding and it was so good!!! It was like a juicy peanut butter cup :) I love peanut butter so I am so excited that I've seen the PB2 being talked about so often here because I've never heard of that before

i also got caramel Torani to add to stuff. I can't wait to try it with my protein shake tomorrow.

I also got a few bananas and put them in the freezer.

You're welcome.  I hope it's useful.

I agree, PB2 is really super tasty but, for some reason, it just didn't float my boat in my full liquid diet.  So I'm glad you're enjoying it :)

Does pudding count as a liquid on your plan? (wondering if I can add it to mine ;)
