Preop diet moment of STRENGTH! It's getting easier.

I'm a few days into my preop diet. This has been incredibly hard, but I have stuck to it thus far! This evening, the husband was grilling for the fam. Instead of the fatty burger and tater salad I would usually eat without a second thought, I had my 4oz chicken on top of a steamed kale salad with all sorts of yummy seasonings. It was delicious! My moment of strength came when the kids asked me to make brownies. Nope. Not even a lick of the batter. Kids ate theirs and the rest went to the neighbors! Feeling strong and motivated this evening. Woot woot! Eleven days to go.

Woohoo, good for you! I hated my pre op diet. I did a week of shakes only, and the second day was on valentines day when of course there was a party at work! You can do this! Good for you for sticking to your plan.

check out my blog!

I am so jealous, my 2 week was liquid only.  I wouldn't have had any trouble at all with yours.  Chicken and veggies oh yeah.

Only one serving leafy greens and chicken. I had a rough start with yucky shakes but found something locally that I think is making this so much easier on me. Chocolate mint flavored water (for real, zero cals or anything) and tastes pretty amazing. Plus JayRobb shakes that are lactose free and made with stevia and taste amazing.

Sounds good.  Yes, lots of centers are allowing you one high protein low carb meal as they found patients could stay the program easier.  Some of the staff went to a ASMBS and was told this.  Unfortunately, our center choose to leave their patient on the liquid only program that they make money on.
