Can soup fill you up?

On full liquids now...supposed to start with 2-3 tablespoons (then practice not drinking for 30 min).

It doesn't seem that different in consistency than a protein shake made with milk. Feels weird to have 12 of shake but only 3 tbl of tomato soup.

I realize I can't feel full this early out - just don't understand why soup wouldn't just slide down like water or shakes?

You'd be surprised! It may not seem like you will feel full, but believe me, you will. My first day of full liquids, I thought the same thing... wrong. I got the worst feeling ever because I ate too much. For the record, it does slide down, but different things fill you up faster. Even now, if I eat ground turkey, I can eat 4 oz, but if I eat ground beef, I can only eat about 2...
