sleeved on 6/4
I had surgery on 6/4 and am still in the hospital. I should get to go home today or tomorrow. So far I have been amazed at how much easier this surgery has been than my other surgeries. Maybe to someone who has never had surgery, they would think it is pretty rough, but I have had so much worse in my other three surgeries for gynocological issues. This is a piece of cake in comparison. On second thought maybe that's not a good comparison to use after bariatric surgery, lol.
On day on me I was allowed nothing by mouth. I was soooo ready for day two when I got one medicine cup of ice chips every 30 minutes. Today I get one medicine cup of diluted juice every 20 minutes. I might get broth later if everything stays down OK. I hope the rest of my recovery goes as well as these first couple of days.
Welcome to the other side. Glad to hear everything is ok. Rest up and heal well!

Congrats! I had mine yesterday morning. I too am suprised that this isn't more painful but am comparing it to four c sections. Lol
i haven't had anything by mouth yet. They have me ice chips right away and I chewed one up and had the teensiest swallow and it HURT. I spit the rest out so I wouldn't swallow anymore. Then the nurse said it wasn't to eat or swallow. Just to lick to make my mouth wet. Oops. So I'm really scared to try to swallow anything today.
Hope you continue to have smooth sailing! It's so good to be on the other side of this. :)
