Despite the warnings...these clothing sizes change fast!
I dug out some old pants, a bit tight about two week ago
Dry cleaned them and wore to work for the first time 8 days ago, fit perfect.
Looked at myself in the mirror today at work - I looked like a freaking clown! Parachute pants or some sorta wrong, so lose it looked like my waist line was ruffled and pleated all around my entire belt line. The clasp in front wouldn't even stay connected after a visit to the restroom.
I guess those are the good kinda problems :)
LOL that IS a good kind of problem. That is great

There are worse problems to have...they could have fallen off at work. ;)

I know what you mean. I bought a leather hole punch so I would not have to keep buying new belts.

Apparently I've never thrown away a belt. I found a stash of belts unpacking old boxes of clothes (from several moves over 15 years). Sizes to fit my 32" waist all the way up to 66".
I almost needed a punch to let out the last belt another notch before surgery (I refused to buy another new belt knowing surgery was going to be a couple months away).
I love this post! Congrats on dropping that weight and here's to more clown pants in your future :)
Also, on a personal note, thank you *so* much for having that info in your signature. I'm two weeks out from my sleeve and I've only lost 5 or 6 pounds and I'm feeling frustrated and scared that this isn't going to work. I see you had some slow go at first and it's definitely moving in the right direction for you now. Thanks again and keep on going!
I had a 3 week pre op diet so I think I had a stall about the first week post op (could of been fluids but then I should of lost more week 2). I only lost 1 pound between week 3.5 and 5.5. As many others have said - it took years to put on the weight... Don't worry, we have more to lose, but it will come off.
Thanks, sadly I hadn't thought of that. I started a diet in mid February this year to get down as small as I could for surgery and between that and my 30 day pre-op Medifast diet I lost 85 pounds before surgery even happened so I may be a bit slower at first compared to people who are losing that initial fat and water weight right after surgery. I have to remind myself of that and that this is about the long haul. I got fat slowly, I'm not going to lose it super quick.
We can do it!
