Hi everyone I had surgery Thursday. When I woke up from the anesthesia I was in pain. The morphine did nothing for me. A day ago they switched me to half of a oral pain reliever its working. My blood pressure keeps going low they were concerned about that but it is better. I am being released today I can't wait. Still in pain and can only take down 2 oz I hope it gets better. Thank you to everyone who sent all the well wishes you guys are the best.

Trust me, it gets better every day. Just keeping taking those tiny sips, having little walks and resting. You will be over the hump in no time!  Best wishes for a quick recovery!

Good luck!  I went home last night. I was doing amazing, but when I drink I start to feel pain. I have to slow down because I can feel every swallow go through my new stomach. Good luck!!!!!  I really feel like walking had been my savior. I feel so good when I walk and get everything flowing. If I sit and drink it hurts more. Keep us updated!

Believe me it will everyday.  I cried when I got home and asked myself what did I do?!!!? But as everyday went by I started feeling better. Now almost three months out I feel great!  I hope you have a speedy recovery and I am here for support!

Welcome to the other side! I was in a lot of pain too when I wike up.. especially when they kept asking me to cough or I had to move to get up. The main meds didn't do much for me either. It will get better soon. Congrats!
