Medifast shakes

Does anyone know if the medifast shakes are something you can have either for the pre diet surgery or the post diet surgery??

My nutritionist said I should not use them for the pre-op diet. It was because they are higher in carbs than a lot of the other shakes. I believe they wanted minimal carbs pre-op to help "shrink" the liver to make surgery easier. She told me I could use them post-op, but I haven't yet.  You should ask the nutritionist that works with your surgeon and see what they say.
