Last meal before surgery

Today I went to have my pre-admission testing done for my VSG and had a big surprise when I talked to my surgeon. I have been on my pre-surg diet for a week and he told me I could take Sat. off.He said I could have whatever I wanted to eat and that it would be a learning lesson for me.I am both happy and worried at the same time.I have lost a total of 80lbs. to date and I am a little torn with this. I think we will grill some burgers and maybe have some shrimp fried rice but I don't want to go overboard.

Very impressed with your pre op weight loss, you deserve something delicious today!   does not need to be super high in calories but something you will not be having on the post op diet maybe.  Wishing you well on your surgery and recovery.

Going to get me some shrimp fried rice on Sat. I know rice will be a while before I can eat it again and I have a favorite restaurant I wan't to visit on this treat day.One good thing is seafood is a good source of protein.

Thanks Wendy, I am going to make sure I will walk at least 3 or 4 miles on Sat. This will cut some of the calories down and won't feel as guilty.
