Hello,

Okay I am at 8 weeks out and I can only tolerate 1-2 TBLS of food, they say by 3 Months I should be able to eat 1/4 of a cup of food. At the rate I am going I honestly do not see that happening. I was just wondering if any one else went through this? And if so when were you able to eat more than 2 TBLS of food? I am not hungry in between meals, I drink my last sip 15-20 minutes before I eat and I have to wait 30 min after eating other wise I get that way over stuffed feeling and I feel blah. Other than that I feel wonderful, and I am so glad I had the SVG done. I had my surgery May 29th 2014. Thank You for reading this post!

Enjoy this restriction...it does NOT last!  At about 8 weeks I was eating at most 2 oz of food but rarely got to that.  Your restriction will loosen up in time...trust.

At 3 months out, I could finally eat more than .5-1 oz of food. More like 2-3 oz. But pretty soon after that I could eat a lot more. By about 7 months I could eat what I can eat now and it never really got bigger than that. Of course I eat more slider foods now because I'm in maintenance so I eat more carbs and stuff but when I eat the stuff I was eating at 7 months out, it's 2-3 oz of hard protein and some veggies!

My guidelines for capacity were TOTALLY wrong for this entire process.  I say don't fret unless you're eating more than the guideline says you can.  Drink lots, get your protein, it seems unlikely that you'll starve!

I know that when your in the middle of it

your thoughts must be going..

I can't eat like this the rest of my life..

but it's true... ENJOY IT..

we're all different with how much food we can eat in the beginning

and believe me it's going loosen up before you know it and you'll be dreaming of the time when

a tablespoon of food had you full to stuffed...
